Mark H. Meier
Mark was born Sept. 22, 1954, to Ken and Faye Meier in Merrill. He attended Trinity School and graduated from Merrill High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin. Mark worked for American TV and Furniture in Madison. He loved music, especially jazz, antique cars and going to car races. He was a very good cook, an avid reader and a kind and generous person. He loved the northwoods.
Mark is survived by his parents, sisters Jo A. Meier, Middleton; and Jean (Mike) Klimek, Merrill; brothers Tom, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Mike (Cindy), Irma; nephew Tim (Heather) Klimek, and Zachary and Kaitlyn; niece Leah Klimek, Merrill; and step-niece Michelle Ranken and her son Zack of Tomahawk. He is also survived by a very dear friend, Marcea Folk of Madison; and many friends from Madison. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Henry and Alma Meier; maternal grandparents Herbert Krueger and LaRue and John Wietor; and nephew Casey Klimek.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a memorial service held in Madison on Oct. 6. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity School or T.B. Scott Library in Merrill.
