Carol J. Garihee
Carol J. Garihee, 79, of 2100 E. Sixth St., Merrill, died Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
A private family service will be held at a later date. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements. A complete obituary will be published in next week's Foto News.

Carol J. Garihee
Carol J. Garihee, 79, of 2100 E. Sixth St., Merrill, died Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Carol was born Dec. 23, 1927, in Merrill, daughter of the late Otto and Norma Stickler Schenzel. In 1948 she married Jack Garihee. They were later divorced.
Carol had worked for 15 years at the former A&W Root Beer Stand in Merrill, and had also worked for 22 years at Skipper's Restaurant in Merrill. She enjoyed gardening and canning, cooking, playing cards and bingo, casino trips, and listening to the Braves and the Brewers on the radio.
Survivors include her daughters Sharon (Marty) Anderson, Merrill; Mary (Garry) Olson, Gleason; and Barb (Bruce) Hinz, Elk Mound; son John P., Merrill; grandchildren Chris Anderson, Minocqua; Jessica Anderson, Heath (Linda) Garihee and Neil Hockett, all of Merrill; Scott (Krishna) Olson, Gleason; David Olson, Marshfield; Shawn Semling and Carly Hinz, both of Eau Claire; and John Garihee, Wausau; and great-grandchildren Ashley, Jaylen, Alder, Jacob, Nicholas and Ashley. Also surviving are brothers David (Marilyn) Schenzel, Merrill; and Roger (Karen) Schenzel, Wausau. She was preceded in death by sisters Marilyn Swope, Doris Annis and Geraldine Schenzel.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Carol's cremated remains will be placed in the Scattering Garden at Merrill Memorial Park. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
