Ervin Nass
Ervin Nass, 92, formerly of Wausau and Merrill, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007; at his home in Mission Viejo, Calif.
Ervin was born Dec. 10, 1914, in the town of Berlin to the late Ernest and Ella Trantow Nass. He married Eleanor Mootz on Oct. 26, 1938, at Zion Lutheran Church, town of Maine. In 1979, Ervin retired from G.T.E. after 29 years of service.
Survivors include his wife Eleanor, Mission Viejo, Calif.; daughters Joyce Donnelly, Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; and Patricia (Bill) Burger, Los Altos, Calif.; son-in-law Richard Plautz, Merrill; grandchildren Debbie (Steve) Andress, Mission Viejo, Calif.; Craig (Christine) Burger, Campbell, Calif.; Brian (Heidi) Burger, Folsom, Calif.; Jeff (Kim) Plautz, Birnamwood; Tim (Geralyn) Plautz, Wausau; and Laura (Kerry) Sutherland, Eagan, Minn.; and great-grandchildren Katie and Stephanie Andress, Andrew and Matthew Burger, Tyler and Mackenna Burger, Jared and Amber Plautz, Noah and Rachael Plautz, and Jeremy, Jared, Justin, Trever and Trent Sutherland. He was preceded in death by daughter Betty Plautz, brothers Clarence, Elmer and Milton, and sister Ruth Henklenman.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday. The Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, is assisting the family with arrangements.
