Roberta J. Frederick

Roberta J. Frederick, 60, of Merrill, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 6, 2007, at St. Clare's Hospital in Weston due to complications from cancer.

Roberta was born in Stambaugh, Mich., in 1946 to Joe and Helen Kaduluski (deceased) of Iron River, Mich. In 1972, Roberta met William "Bill" Frederick while she worked as the house keeper and he in maintenance for Father Peter Szleszinski at St. Francis Catholic Church in Merrill. In 1973 the two wed and later gave birth to their first child, Charlie, who died shortly after birth in 1974. Roberta is survived by her husband Bill, retired, Merrill; son William Peter "Bill," Captain, United States Army, currently deployed to Northern Iraq; daughter Mary Anne, student, UW Stevens Point; and granddaughter Dayton Rayne, age 6, born Sept. 11, 2001 (9/11/2001). Roberta also leaves behind brothers Joe and John Kadulski and sisters Paulette Lee and Anita LeDoux.

Roberta will be best remembered for her generosity throughout the year, but especially during the holidays, as she loved to create large dinners for friends and family. Roberta's specialties were home made pies and hunter's bread, for which she perfected the recipe herself. Roberta has touched the lives of many people and will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Services were Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Bloomville. Roberta was laid in her final resting place at St. John's Cemetery off of Cty J near the town of Bloomville.

The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family with arrangements. The family has requested memorials to 'Outreach to Mexico.' Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstine funeral home.com.
