Marlene J. Powell

Marlene J. Powell, 74, of Appleton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Theda Clark in Neenah.

Marlene was born July 11, 1933, in Merrill to the late Otto and Elizabeth Nelson Peterson. She married Robert Powell on Aug. 17, 1982, in Palm Springs, Calif., and they recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

Marlene was a property manager for the Premier Real Estate Group.

Marlene will be greatly missed by her husband Robert; sons John (Judy) Tomajcik and Thomas Tomajcik; daughters Linda (Dennis) Schneider, Patricia Tomajcik and Cynthia (Keith) DeBoth; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers Lyle (Doris) Peterson, Otto (Alice) Peterson and Dale (Geraldine) Peterson; and many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by son Joseph; brothers Mahlon (Leola) Peterson and Royal (Shirley) Peterson; and sisters Mildred (Bill) Lutzke, Elizabeth (Harold) Peters, Arleie (Leroy) Schultz and Vivian Peterson.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 12, at St. John United Church of Christ, Appleton. Rev. Tom Fritz officiated. Interment was in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton, served the family. Online at www.valleyfh.com.
