Laura Ann Fassbender, De Pere, and Michael T. Curran, Merrill, announce their engagement and impending nuptials.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robert and Sharon Fassbender, De Pere. Her fiance is the son of Thomas and Gail Curran, Merrill.

Laura is a graduate of UW Madison with a degree in nursing. She is a cardiac nurse at St. Mary's in Madison. Michael is a graduate of UW Stout and received his master's degree in education from Viterbo. He is a technology teacher in Middleton.

The couple is planning a Sept. 8, 2007, wedding.
