Stacie Kraft and Shannon Merkel, both of Merrill, announce their engagement and forthcoming wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Anthony and Joann Kraft, Athens. The prospective groom is the son of David and Yvonne Kleimola, Merrill.

Stacie is a 1994 graduate of Athens High School and a 2001 graduate of UW Stout. She is a financial assistant at A.G. Edwards in Wausau. Shannon is a 1991 graduate of D.C. Everest High School and a 1996 graduate of Winona State University in Minnesota. He works at Lincoln Hills Boys School in Irma.

The couple is planning a Sept. 29, 2007, wedding.
