Ashley M. Wendland

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam. And for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world. But then it flies on again. And though we wish it could have stayed, we feel so lucky to have seen it.

In loving memory of our infant daughter Ashley Marie Wendland, born May 29, 2006 at 1:43 p.m., went to heaven at 2:30 p.m. Ashley was the daughter of Shellie Kieke and Mike Wendland (Merrill High School class of 1990) of St. Paul, Minn.; sister of Claire Anne (age 2); great-granddaughter of Esther Kieke, Ida Matthes and Vi Wendland; granddaughter of Lee Kieke, Lori and Tom Lahr-Moulds, and Walter and Sally Wendland; and niece of Anne and Matt Jacobs, Mike and Jeanne Kieke, Sara Kieke, and Brian and Stephanie Madden. You are in our hearts forever, sweet little one.
