Margaret E. Henrichs Margaret E. Henrichs, 89, Merrill, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Born in Merrill on Feb. 14, 1917, Margaret was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Stevenson Batchelder. She married Carl Henrichs on Aug. 31, 1935, in Merrill. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2000.

Margaret was a homemaker except for a time when she waitressed at the American Legion Hall for Friday night fish fries. She was a member of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, Merrill, where she was active in many church activities including the quilting club and mission circle. Margaret was an excellent baker and seamstress. She liked to knit and crochet. Margaret also loved to dance.

Survivors include her daughters Nancy (Martin) Walsh, Merrill; and Susan Briggs, Irma; son Duane (Carol), Rhinelander; daughters-in-law Rose Marie Henrichs, Rhinelander; and Sue Henrichs, Cabot, Ark.; grandchildren Tammy, Cindy, Deborah, Gregory, Christine, Robert Jr., Susie, Carl, Carmen, Melody, Rob, Heather, Brenda and Daniel; 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Delores (Art) Boyd, of Washington; and Ila Mae Buchanan, of California; and brother Delbert (Mary) Batchelder, of Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, daughter Lu Ellen Kleinschmidt; sons Robert and Jerome; sons-in-law James Kleinschmidt and Larry Briggs; grandson Steven Walsh; sisters Gladys Eckerle and Ruth Bratley; and brothers Clifford, Glenn, Louis, Howard, Victor, Leland and Alvin Batchelder.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Earl Eckhart officiated. Burial was in Merrill Memorial Park.
