Alice M. Lee

Alice Margaret Lee, 87, Gleason, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at Mount Carmel Nursing Home, Burlington.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m., at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Gleason. The Rev. Steven Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo, and from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.

Alice M. Lee

Alice Margaret Lee, 87, Gleason, died Sept. 4, 2006, under the care of Mount Carmel Nursing Home, Burlington.

Alice was born March 6, 1919, to Charles and Katherine (Kluball) Wetzel. She married Harold Lee in Milwaukee on Dec. 7, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1999.

Alice was a member of Luther Memorial Church, Gleason, and attended Liberty Bell Grade School, Deerbrook. Alice and her husband lived in Milwaukee until their move to Gleason in 1986. She enjoyed reading, poetry and singing. She was the unofficial family historian.

Survivors include her daughters Jera (Richard) Resser, Waterford, and Wendy Cummins, Milwaukee; son Tracy (Theresa) Lee, Franklin; sisters Elaine Beyer, Antigo, Jean (George) Grossman, Kempster, Fern (Moritz) Koch, Sussex, Joyce Kanapka, Gleason, and Glenda (Charles) Delarwell, California; brothers Max (Marie) Wetzel and Calvin (Phyllis) Wetzel, both of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Alice was preceded in death by daughters, Karen Steele and Judith Goelz; sister Mildred Schuman; and brother Cyril Wetzel.

Funeral services were held Sept. 8 at Luther Memorial Church, Gleason. Rev. Steven Anderson presided. Visitation was held in the Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo. Burial was in the Town of Summit Cemetery, Langlade Co.

Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo, assisted the family with arrangements.
