Katherine "Kay" A. Welch, 59, Irma, died Thursday, August 31, 2006, at her home.

Kay was born March 16, 1947, in Wauwatosa to the late Raymond Walter and Mary Jane Dollhausen Trapp.

Kay was an avid writer in her time. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed nature, and spent many hours enjoying the outdoors. She loved to read novels while a cat always sat in her lap.

Survivors include daughters Renee Ronzani, Markesan, and Deana (Mark) Fichtner, Theresa; sons Brett, Craig and Jerel Plummer, all of Beaver Dam; 10 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. She is further survived by her birth mother Dorothy Bradon, sister Sally Trapp and nieces and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by her parents and infant son DuWayne.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family.
