Baumgartner-Thurs

Ann Baumgartner and Andrew Thurs, both of Athens, were united in marriage on June 3, 2006, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. Rev. Donn Radde officiated at the afternoon ceremony where music was provided by organist Maureen Belanger and vocalists Dan Nowak and Amanda Ellenbecker.

The bride is the daughter of Ray and Betty Baumgartner, Athens. The groom is the son of Rich and Bonnie Thurs, Athens.

Maid of honor was Jessica Baumgartner, sister of the bride, and Dick Thurs, brother of the groom, was best man.

Serving as bridesmaids were Gena Baumgartner, sister of the bride; Cindy Thurs, sister of the groom, Jackie Becker, Celesta Welbes and Darla Myszka. Flower girl was Lauryn Kleinschmidt. Personal attendant was Jackie Thurs, sister-in-law of the groom.

Serving as groomsmen were Mike Thurs, brother of the groom; Bill Schug; Eric Kleinschmidt, the groom's cousin; Matt Kropp, the groom's cousin; and Josh Bockin. Ring bearer was Brendan Schauer, the bride's cousin.

Ushers were Brian Schauer, the bride's uncle; and Walter Mootz, the groom's cousin.

A reception was held at the Rib River Ballroom, Marathon City.

Ann is an accounts receivable specialist at Northcentral Technical College, Wausau. Andrew is pursuing a criminal justice degree at Northcentral Technical College, Wausau. They live in Athens.
