Valentino-Block

Maria Valentino and Jay Block, both of Merrill, were married Sept. 23, 2006, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Jeff Martinson officiated at the afternoon wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Dorothy Valentino, Ironwood, Mich.; and the late Frank Valentino, Jr. The groom is the son of Elroy Block, Merrill, and the late Gloria Block.

Wedding attendants were Erin Malone, daughter of the bride, Tampa, Fla.; Ryan Malone, son of the bride, Merrill; and Mitch and Justin Block, sons of the groom, both of Merrill.

A reception was held at Kathy and Cal's Club 64 in Merrill. The couple is planning a honeymoon trip to Jamaica at a later date.

Maria is director for Aurora Community Services in Schofield. Jay is manager for Klein-Dickert Auto Glass, Weston. The couple lives in Merrill.
