Anisa D. Ley and Steven J. Schmidt Jr. were married June 9, 2006, at the Eau Claire County Courthouse, Eau Claire.

The bride is the daughter of Theodore D. and Monica A. Ley, Merrill. The groom is the son of Earlene and David Self, Spooner; and Steven and Kathy Schmidt Sr., Aurora, Colo.

Matron of honor was Jennifer Johnson and Kenny Mansa was best man.

Anisa has an associate of science degree from UW Marathon County. She is an office associate at the Housing Authority of the city of Eau Claire. Steve is a union carpenter. He is employed through Christenson Drywall, Inc. out of Neillsville.

The couple lives in Altoona.
