Amber Block and Steve Athanasiou, both of Mosinee (and both originally from Merrill), announce their engagement and impending wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jeff and Gwen Block, Merrill. Her fiance is the son of Michael Athanasiou, Oshkosh.

Amber is a 2002 graduate of Merrill High School. She is currently attending UW Stevens Point pursuing a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is an intern at Mosinee Elementary School in a 1-2-3 multi-age classroom. Steve is a 2001 graduate of Merrill High School. He is currently attending Northcentral Technical College for heating and cooling. He works for Stainless Specialists.

The pair have set a June 9, 2007, wedding date.
