Connie Amelse and Andrew Duerkop, both of Merrill, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of George and Linda Amelse, Irma. the prospective groom is the son of Richard and Valerie Duerkop, Rothschild.

Connie is a 1995 graduate of Merrill High School. She is employed at Lincoln Wood Products in Merrill. Andrew recently graduated from Northcentral Technical College with a degree in criminal justice.

The couple is planning an Aug. 26, 2006, wedding.
