Melissa S. Thurs and Ryan M. Voigt, both of Hamburg, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lyle and Susan Thurs, Hamburg. The future groom is the son of Mark and LeAnn Voigt, Merrill. Melissa is a 2001 graduate of Merrill High School and a 2005 graduate of UW Oshkosh with a bachelor of business administration from UW Oshkosh with a major in human resources. She works for Washington Group International at the Weston 4 Project in Rothschild. Ryan is a 1999 graduate of Merrill High School and a 2000 graduate of Northcentral Technical College. He is a carpenter with Skaar Construction, Merrill.

They are planning an Oct. 14, 2006, wedding.
