Nicole Shanak and Jesse Hoffman, both of Tripoli, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gary Shanak and Diane Zahrt, both of Wausau. The future groom is the son of Harvey and Sandy Hoffman, Merrill.

Nicole is a rod winder for St. Croix Rods of Park Falls. Jesse is employed at Harley-Davidson in Tomahawk.

They have set an Aug. 5, 2006, wedding date.
