Dana Rosalee Hayes, 67, Antigo, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at her home under the care of Leroyer Hospice.
Born Aug. 1, 1938, in Polar, Dana was the daughter of the late Carl and Meta Demlow Summ. She married Kenneth J. Hayes on July 2, 1966, in Antigo. He survives.
Dana attended Franklin Grade School in Polar and Peace Lutheran Grade School in Antigo. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1956. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Antigo for 10 years following graduation. After her marriage, she lived in Lannon and Sun Prairie, returning to Antigo in 1973. In 1985 she moved to Arizona, returning to Wisconsin in 2001 and again returning to Antigo in 2005. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and crafts.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth, Antigo; son Michael (special friend Kim Reed), Phoenix, Ariz.; a granddaughter; sisters Margaret Bradley, Richardson, Texas; Leona Haley, Antigo; Adeline (Andy) Andik, Mesa, Ariz.; Maxine Summ and Grace (Ron) Swanson, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Devota -DeDe- (Dr. Robert) Cromer, Antigo; brother Reinhold Summ, Antigo; Norbert (Charlotte) Summ, Hartford; and Eugene (Barbara) Summ, Madison; sister-in-law Nancy Hayes, Merrill; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister Ruth Shufeldt, and brothers Clarence and Ervin Summ.
Memorial services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo. Rev. Audrey Alexander will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to the hour of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
