Marie Lynn Burgener and Bobby Joe Walkowski, both of Wausau, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The prospective bride is the daughter of Janice Burgener, Merrill. Her fianc- is the son of Judy and Robert Walkowski, Ringle.

Marie is a 1998 graduate of Merrill High School and attended both UW Eau Claire and NTC. She is a customer service representative at Wausau Benefits. Bobby is a 1997 graduate of D. C. Everest High School and attended UW Marathon County. He is employed at Greenheck Fan Company.

An Aug. 12, 2006, wedding is planned.
