NINILCHIK -- Lee Beauperlant, 46

Ninilchik resident Lee Joseph Beauperlant, 46, died July 25, 2004, at his home.

A private family service is planned.

Mr. Beauperlant was born April 17, 1958, in Merrill, Wis., and moved to Alaska in 1984.

His family wrote, "Lee was a kind and gentle man who died after a long battle with alcoholism." They suggest memorial donations to the Ninilchik Girls Basketball Team, Ninilchik 99639.

Survivors include his sister, Jeani Cooper of Ninilchik, and relatives, Sharon Beauperlant of Tempe, Ariz., and Patrick Beauperlant of Scottsdale, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Carol Beauperlant.

Arrangements are with Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
