Skofronick, Richard L.
July 16, 1935 - March 13, 2004
MADISON/MILTON Richard L. Skofronick, age 68, died surrounded by his family at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center on Saturday, March 13, 2004, after a courageous battle with multiple cancers.
Richard was born on July 16, 1935 in Merrill, WI, son of Gust and Esther (Franke) Skofronick. Richard was a loving husband, committed family man, devoted Catholic, former U.S. Marine, collector, and insulator.
He was also a successful businessman, associated with All-Temp Insulation, Inc. since 1971. He became co-owner in 1977 and has been owner since 1990. Richard taught us so much about the value of hard work and encouraging others to reach their full potential. He did not know how to fail, because when something was difficult, Richard kept trying until he succeeded. Richard shared the gifts of love, loyalty, generosity, and family values with so many people that his contribution to this world is a lasting gift. Richard will be sorely missed by his family, co-workers, and friends.
He is survived by Lise Skofronick, his wife of 38 years; sons, Mark (Kjersten Grant) Skofronick and Paul (Trisha Burgess) Skofronick; brothers, James (Dorothy Nilles) Skofonick and Bruce (Lucy Mermer) Skofronick; and sisters, Mary (Carl) Lagerbloom and Jean (Don) Klebenow.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2004 at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE in Madison.
Friends may call at the church from 9:30 until 11 a.m. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family requests donations to Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, St. Mary Parish in Milton, Hospice Care, The Boy Scouts of America, or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank the oncology staff at Dean Medical Center and Hospice for their loving care.
