RANCHO CUCAMONGA - Ethel A. Helfer, 87, of Rancho Cucamonga died Oct. 31, 2003. She was born Feb. 11, 1916, in Merrill, Wis., and lived in Rancho Cucamonga for 26 years.

Ethel and her husband came to California in 1963. She was self-employed and retired after 25 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank.

Ethel is survived by her daughter, Mary Pollock; sons, Russell Helfer, William Helfer and James Helfer; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3 at Forest Lawn Mortuary, Covina. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4 at Forest Lawn Mortuary. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina. Forest Lawn Mortuary is handling arrangements.
