LAWRENCE "LARRY" PECK, 72, of Fayetteville, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, in Chambersburg Hospital.

Born June 5, 1931, in Merrill, Wis., he was the son of the late Arthur H. and Martha (Yunkherr) Peck.

He and his wife, Kathleen (Machyniak) Peck, were married March 17, 1951.

Mr. Peck was a representative for Graphic Communications International Union. He was a 50-year member of the GCLU union, which he joined in 1953 at the Marathon Plant in Wausau, Wis., where he worked for seven and a half years. In 1961, he moved to Chambersburg when the Marathon Corp. opened in the area and was employed for there for eight and a half years.

He was appointed a GCLU representative in 1987 and served full-time until his death. Mr. Peck had been president of District Council 6S since 1963 and became a business agent in 1969.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Peck was is survived by one daughter, Ellen Bowman of Fayetteville; two sisters, Audrey Kodl of Wausau and Joanne Christy of Sullivan, Mo.; one brother, Arthur Peck of Bossier City, La.; four grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeff L. Peck, two sisters and a brother.

Graveside services will be held at noon Tuesday in the mausoleum of Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Paul B. Baker officiating.

There will be no public viewing.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements were made by Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
