Alice R. Kramer, 83, of Edison, served in Navy WAVES in WWII.

A memorial service for Mrs. Alice R. Kramer, 83, of Edison will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Cecelias Church, Iselin.

Mrs. Kramer died Aug. 7 in JFK Medical Center, Edison.

She worked at a watch repair shop at a Sears store many years ago.

She served in the Navys Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES) program during World War II.

Born in Tomahawk, Wis., Mrs. Kramer lived in Jersey City and Iselin before moving to Edison about a year ago.

Surviving are Frank W., her husband of 57 years; a daughter, Kathleen Shipley, and a grandchild.
