Lawrence M. Erickson
Lawrence M. Erickson, 63, of Gleason, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 9, 2007, of heart failure at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.
Born Sept. 30, 1943, in Rhinelander, Lawrence was the son of the late Clarence and Elsie Pipgrass Erickson.
Larry had worked for Frito-Lay Co. in Eagle River. He had lived with his nephew and best friend, Brian Jaeger. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR and football on television, telling jokes, playing Pac-Man on his Playstation, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Larry was a kind and patient man who will be greatly missed by his family.
Surviving are his daughter Laura Erickson, Merrill; sons Daniel (Tina) Erickson, Merrill; and Tommy Brooks, Rhinelander; grandchildren Heather Halbach and Devin Brooks; sisters Arlene (Mike) Schumann, Fall River; JoAnn (Charlie) Towne, Eagle River; and Gladys (James) Eternicka, Merrill; brother David (Cindy) Erickson, Watersmeet, Mich.; sister-in-law Donna Erickson, Irma; his former wife Mary Raasch, Merrill; and Sherry Brooks' children Ernie, Daniel and Cindy Brooks and Laura (John) Whittrock. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Elsie Erickson, brother Donald, and his loving companion Sherry Brooks.
The family received friends and relatives Tuesday evening, March 13, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill.
