Theis, Donald H.

Donald H. Theis formerly of Arlington Heights A memorial Mass for Donald H. Theis, 69, of Tomahawk, Wis., and Rockton, Ill., will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.

Memorial visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights.

Born June 29, 1935, in Chicago, he died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wis. Mr. Theis retired from ITT Bell & Gossett in Morton Grove in 1994, after 42 years of service as a foreman. Donald enjoyed life, especially traveling and spending time with his family.

He was the beloved husband of the late Bernardine (nee Kirchen); loving father of Donna Theis, John Theis, Karen (Bill) Theis, Natalie (Juan) Theis De Pareja, and the late Christopher, Lawrence and Patrick Theis; cherished grandfather of Juan "Sweetie" and Morgan "Squinker" Pareja; devoted son of the late Leopold Sr. and Dorothy C. (nee Tholl) Theis; dear brother of Dorothy Theis, Gerald (Virginia) Theis, Raymond (Terri) Theis, Kathleen (Paul) Lucas, Michael (Kity) Theis, Suzanne Theis and Thomas Theis; fond nephew of Harriet Tholl; cousin of Mary Hermanson, Joanne Tholl and Henry Tholl; brother-in-law of Margaret Dillon, Marilyn Theis, William (Paula) Kirchens, Lambert (Caryl) Kirchens, Bernard (Joy) Kirchens and Joseph (Patricia) Kirchens; and uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Leopold Theis Jr.; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Theis; and a cousin, Robert Hermanson.
