Jerome O. "Fromo" Rampart

Jerome O. "Fromo" Rampart, 79, Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Merrill, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at Tidewell Hospice Home, Palmetto, Fla., after a courageous battle with cancer.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Dorelius) Rampart, Bradenton; one daughter, Kerry (Rod) Harper, Bradenton; one son, Robin (Paula) Rampart, Spring Hill, Fla.; a brother, Clyde Rampart, Kenosha; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 604 43rd St. W., Bradenton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota FL 34238.
