Charles Sczygelski
Charles J. Sczygelski, 69, Merrill, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
He was employed at Modu-Line Windows and served on the County Board as an assessor for the town of Scott.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Sczygelski, Merrill; two daughters, Roxanne (Dan) Schuster, Schofield, and JoAnn Sczygelski, Wausau; four sons, Sidney (Andrea) Sczygelski and Daniel (Norma) Sczygelski, both of Wausau, Douglas Sczygelski, Lincoln, Neb., and Ralph (Kim) Sczygelski, Manitowoc; six grandchildren; four sisters, Regina (Norman) Roets, Merrill, Esther (Jerome) Ament, Menasha, Genevieve (Jerome) Hollenback, Appleton, and Rosemary (Robert) Eckardt, Merrill; three brothers, Lawrence (Vivian) Sczygelski, John (Helen) Sczygelski and Anthony (Corinne) Sczygelski, all of Merrill; one step-brother, Edward (Lucille) Roble, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles J. Sczygelski
Charles J. Sczygelski, 69, of Merrill died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
He was born April 20, 1934, in the town of Pine River, son of the late Adam and Anna (Kordus) Sczygelski. He married Joyce Roets June 12, 1954, in Merrill. She survives.
He farmed in the towns of Pine River and Scott; owned and operated Charlie's Philips 66 Gas Station on Grand Avenue in Merrill; sold and serviced Bodmin Pipeline Milking Systems; and also worked at Merrill Iron and Steel, Drott Manufacturing and Modu-Line Windows. He also renovated many homes in the area.
Charlie served his community as a supervisor on the County Board and as assessor for the town of Scott. He was a lifelong member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. Charlie enjoyed deer hunting, cooking maple syrup and running his sawmill.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Merrill; two daughters, Roxanne (Dan) Schuster of Schofield and JoAnn Sczygelski of Wausau; four sons, Sidney (Andrea) Sczygelski and Daniel (Norma) Sczygelski, all of Wausau, Douglas Sczygelski of Lincoln, Neb., and Ralph (Kim) Sczygelski of Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Jacob Allorie, and Erik, Rene, Lucas, Ava and Ian Sczygelski; four sisters, Regina (Norman) Roets of Merrill, Esther (Jerome) Ament of Menasha, Genevieve (Jerome) Hollenback of Appleton, and Rosemary (Robert) Eckardt of Merrill; three brothers, Lawrence (Vivian) Sczygelski, John (Helen) Sczygelski and Anthony (Corinne) Sczygelski, all of Merrill; one step-brother, Edward (Lucille) Roble of Wausau; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Victoria Sczygelski; and two step-brothers, Benedict and Eugene Roble.
