Marian J. Ament

Marian J. Ament, 76, E9610 Kanaman Road, New London, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at St. Joseph Residence in New London following a 26-year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Marian was born March 2, 1928, in Merrill, daughter of the late Walter and Cecelia (Geiss) Grund. On May 15, 1948, Marian married Vilas "Pete" Ament in Merrill.

She is survived by her husband, Vilas "Pete"; seven sons, Alan (Kathy) Ament, Appleton, Kirby (Barbara) Ament, Pelican Lake, Joel (Mary) Ament, Port Charlotte, Fla., Patrick Ament, Appleton, Walter (Debbie) Ament, Land 'O Lakes, John (Paula) Ament, Greenville, and Charles (fianc- Rachel), San Diego; a brother, Donald (Sandy) Grund, Merrill; a sister Shirley (Ron) Schneider, Merrill; and 11 grandchildren, Benjamin, Peter, Rob, Wayne, Craig, Katie (fianc- Travis), Charlie, Mason, Nicholas, Steve and Amy. Marian is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Travis.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with the Rev. David Lewis officiating. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.

Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, 209 W. Cook St., New London, is assisting the family with arrangements.
