Elsie Schult

Elsie H. Schult, 87, of Merrill died Monday, April 3, 2006, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Elsie was born Oct. 6, 1918, in the town of Scott, daughter of the late Martin and Marie (Juedes) Hintz. She married Walter Schult on Dec. 10, 1938, in the town of Scott. He died Aug. 19, 1997.

Elsie and her late husband, Walter, had owned and operated Schult's Country Inn in the town of Scott. They also farmed in the town of Scott. Elsie was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in the town of Maine. She enjoyed baking, cooking, watching game shows on television, being a housewife, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Darlene (David) Keeser and Diane (Lee) Pfaff, all of Merrill; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; and three sisters, Mildred Bartelt, Lorna Woller and Hertha Schult.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Faith Lutheran Church in the town of Maine. The Rev. Steven Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery, town of Scott. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, and again from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the church.
