Jody J. Luedtke

Jody J. Luedtke, age 36, of 8785 28th Ave., Merrill, town of Maine, Marathon County, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at his home.

Jody was born May 23, 1967, in Merrill, son of Eugene Luedtke and the late Shirley (Schmidt) Luedtke. Jody was formerly employed with Marathon County Health Care Center in Wausau, and most recently was employed with the Northern Valley Workshop in Wausau.

Jody was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, town of Maine, and was a former member of the church softball team. Jody enjoyed family gatherings surrounded by his brothers and sisters. He was a special person and always had a smile on his face.

Survivors besides his father, Eugene (Dorothy) Luedtke of Tomahawk, include three sisters, Judy (Jim) Schlueter and Vickie (Tim) Bartelt, both of Merrill, and Cindy Luedtke of Wausau; two brothers, Russell Luedtke and Brian (Marilyn) Luedtke, both of Merrill; and his nieces and nephews, Amy Henderson, Nicole Schlueter, Breann Schlueter, Sean Luedtke, Heather (Nate) Burtman, Lucas (fianc-e, Christy Jones) Bartelt, Tania Luedtke, and Jessica Luedtke.

Jody's mother preceded him in death in 1976. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2003, at Faith Lutheran Church, town of Maine. The Rev. Kevin Hoogland will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, town of Maine. Visitation for friends will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
