Lucille H. Mallak, 93, of 3570 Naugart Dr., Merrill, died Wednesday February 16, 2005, at her home.
Lucille was born February 5, 1913, in Athens, daughter of the late Jacob and Frances Orlikowski. She was united in marriage with Leo Mallak at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1962.
Lucille was homemaker. She spent many hours tending to her flowers and taking care of her many gardens. Lucille was a special person to all her neighbors, friends, family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Among her many interests she especially enjoyed cooking out, reading and baking sugar cookies.
Survivors include her children Orville (Audrey Lemmer) Mallak; Merrill; Marlene (Gerald) Stoelting, Merrill; Joyce (Vernon) Kufahl, St. Cloud, Fla.; Delores (Cliff) Woller, Eagle River, and Bonnie (Fred) Sproat, St. Cloud, Fla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Irene, Frances, Margy, Helen, Joe, Wally and Alex.
Funeral services were Saturday, February 19, at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice officiated. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
