Duane E. "Bummer" Woller, 70, of Merrill, died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at his home.

Born in Merrill on March 9, 1934, Duane was the son of the late Theodore and Adeline Bahlow Woller.

Duane worked on road and home construction for several years. He later worked at Lincoln Wood until retiring in 1996. Bummer enjoyed fishing, hunting, smoking fish, making maple syrup and cooking at the hunting shack.

Survivors include his sisters Berdean July, Mary Ann Schaper and Florence Woller, all of Merrill; brothers Lawrence (Leone), Ted (Violet) and Gerald; all of Merrill; sister-in-law Marjorie Woller, Merrill; and special friends Larry and Joann Benzinger, Merrill. He was preceded in death by brothers Ralph and Vernon.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, is in charge of arrangements.
