Richard Lee Moser, 64, Merrill, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

He was born May 2, 1942, in Ladysmith, the son of Gilbert and Irma (Swoverland) Moser.

He married Loretta (Klimek) Moser on July 14, 1989. She survives.

Richard was a graduate of Ladysmith High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1960 to 1963. Richard worked for Merrill Manufacturing Corp. for 35 years where he worked in the press room. He retired in 2005. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was active in coaching Little League. He loved making model cars, airplanes and boats. He enjoyed reading, gardening and playing with his dog Muffin. He and Loretta loved driving around the countryside viewing wildlife. Richard was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football and NASCAR on television. He was a Dale Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace fan.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Moser of Merrill; one stepson Daniel (Shannon) Winkelman of Juneau, Alaska; one step daughter, Sherry (Diab) Winkleman-Jerius of Winchester, Mass.; two brothers, Keith Moser of Conrath and Kenneth (Mary) Moser of Ladysmith and several nieces, Melisa, Keesha and Holly; nephews Nathan, Levi and Bobby and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irma and Gilbert Moser.

Services were held Tuesday, April 17, at Waid Funeral Home in Merrill

Survivors include his wife Loretta Moser, Merrill; one step son Daniel (Shannon) Winkelman, Juneau, Alaska; one stepdaughter, Sherry (Diab) Winkelman-Jarius, Winchester, Mass.; two brothers, Keith Moser, Conrath and Kenneth (Mary) Moser, Ladysmith; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
