Stacy Massa and Richard Smith Jr., both of Merrill, were joined in holy matrimony on October 9, 2004, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tomahawk. Deacon David Bablick officiated at the afternoon ceremony with music provided by organist/soloist Mary McMahon.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Donna Massa, Tomahawk. The groom is the son of Nancy and the late Richard Smith Sr., Merrill.

Maid of honor was Trisha Kleinschmidt, Merrill; and Scott Smith, brother of the groom, Merrill, was best man.

Serving as bridesmaids were Holly Gullo, sister of the bride, Weston; Samantha Gordova, sister of the bride, Tomahawk; Melissa Hilgendorf, Tomahawk; Billy Jo Graap, Merrill; and Tammy Sherfinski, the groom's cousin, Merrill. Junior bridesmaid was Chelsey Graap, daughter of the bride, Merrill; flower girl was Mackenzie Graap, daughter of the bride, Merrill; and miniature bridesmaid was Kallie Massa, the bride's niece, Tomahawk. Personal attendant was Heather Dahne, Merrill.

Groomsmen included Dean Woellner, Merrill; Ted and Adam Massa, brothers of the bride, both of Tomahawk; and Joe Wiederhoeft and Jody Sherfinski, both of Merrill. Ushers were Tim Caylor and Mike Dymora, both of Merrill.

A reception was held at Comfort Inn, Tomahawk. A honeymoon trip is planned for the fall.

Stacy is employed at Lincoln Wood Products in Merrill. Richard is a carpenter with Union Local 310. The pair lives in Merrill.
