Windy M. Johnson and Michael R. Smith announce their engagement and future wedding plans.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Anna D. Johnson, Merrill. The future groom is the son of Michael and Kristine Smith, Merrill.

Windy is a 2000 graduate of Merrill High School and will graduate with a bachelor's degree in nursing from Milwaukee School of Engineering-School of Nursing of 2005. She is currently employed at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Michael is a 1998 graduate of Merrill High School, a 2002 graduate of Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, and a 2004 graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering. He is currently employed at API Software in Hartford.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 20, 2005, at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill.
