Deanne Helen Smith, Milwaukee, and Christopher Allan Renner, West Allis, announce their engagement and future marriage.

The bride to be is the daughter of Stuart and Arline Smith, Merrill. Her fianc-is the son of Regina Renner, Bend, Ore., and the late Robert Renner.

Deanne has an associate degree in Commercial art. She is a graphic designer with Hal Leonard Publishing.

Christopher received electrical schooling in the U. S. Navy. He is the sole proprietor of Ultimate Home Improvements.

The couple are planning an October 7, 2005, wedding.
