Dwaine Drew, 73, of Gleason, died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.

Born in the town of Russell on September 26, 1931, Dwaine was the son of the late Charles and Blanch Yanda Drew.

Dwaine graduated from US Stevens Point. He served in the National Guard and later joined the U. S. Air Force. He farmed in the town of Russell for many years. Dwaine enjoyed reading, cycling, traveling, his pets, and telling stories with his friends.

Survivors include his brothers Arthur (Nancy), Merrill; and Floyd (Elizabeth), Waupaca; and sisters Evelyn McKenna, Des Moines, Iowa; Janet Drew, Evanston, Ill.; and Helen (Doug) Malueg, Green Bay. He was preceded in death by brother Gordon.

Funeral services were Sunday, May 1, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Don King officiated.
