Clarence R. Voeltzke, 74, of 209 W. Tenth St., Merrill, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Clarence was born March 29, 1931, in Wausau, son of the late Clarence and Abigail Obey Voeltzke. He married Lorraine Maahs on June 14, 1952, in the town of Maine. She survives.

Clarence was a welder at Merrill Manufacturing Corporation prior to his retirement in 1993. He served in the U. S. Army from January 1949 until his honorable discharge in June 1952. He was a Korean War Veteran. Clarence was an avid Packer fan. He also enjoyed fishing, boating and camping.

Survivors besides his wife Lorraine of Merrill include daughters Terry (Bob) Willet, Elgin, Ill.; and Debra (Wayne) Russ, Merrill; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister Nancy (Fred) Principe, Kenosha. He was preceded in death by son Michal and granddaughter Heather.

Funeral services were Saturday, May 21, at the Taylor and Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
