Emily LaVerne Kluball, 71, Lincoln, Calif., died Friday, October 28, 2005, after a long battle with cancer.
Emily was born March 13, 1934, to Emery and Marjorie Irene McKinney, on the family farm in Deerbrook. She married Jerome Kluball in 1956.

In 1959, the family moved to the Chicago, Ill., area, and then to Castro Valley, Calif.; in 1968 where they lived for 30 years. Upon retirement, they lived in Palm Desert, Calif., for five years. In 2004, they moved back to northern California and took up residence in Lincoln to be closer to their children and grandchildren as Emily continued her fight against cancer. Emily was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Castro Valley for over 30 years, as well as St. John's Lutheran Church in Palm Desert and Grace Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Calif.
Survivors include her husband; sons Kevin (Kimberly), Salida, Calif.; and Robert (Teri), Livermore, Calif.; daughters Pamela (Gary) Litzsinger, Roseville, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother Robert McKinney, North Aurora, Ill.; and sisters Caryol DeBels and Ruth Koth, both of Tomahawk.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 18, 11 a.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, Tomahawk. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church of Lincoln, Calif., Land and Building Fund, or any hospice organization.
