Marvin M. Lemmer, 77, of N3775 Cty. E, Merrill, town of Harding, died Tuesday, Setpember 14, 2004, at his home.
Marvin was born February 12, 1927, in Wausau, son of the late Mark and Caroline Tessmer Lemmer. He married Ione Saxby on June 23, 1951, in Merrill. She survives.
Marvin was a dairy farmer in the town of Harding. He was a second-generation farmer with "Lemmer Farms," now owned by his son Matt. Marvin was also the town of Harding fire warden for 50 years, and in August of this year he received a "50 Year Certificate" from the Wisconsin DNR. He was also a school bus driver for 10 years. Marvin was an avid Packer fan and also enjoyed hunting. Farming was his passion. Marvin enjoyed spending time with his family and will be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Ione, Merrill; include daughters Mary (Ken) Stewart, Madison, Ala.; and Marsha (David) Eckerle, Merrill; sons Michael (Cindy Bushar), Nashville, Tenn.; and Matthew, town of Harding; grandchildren Jason, Jamie, Jenny, Jon, Melissa, David, Samantha, Ashley and Mark; great-grandchildren Lauren, Cody and Mariah; and step-sister Joan (Gene) Balschmieder-Fox, Wausau. He was preceded in death by his son Mark in 1985, sisters Ethel and Geraldine, brother Harvey, and stepmother Helen Lemmer.
Funeral services were Saturday, September 18, at the Taylor and Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. James Horath officiated. Burial was in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Merrill.
