Beryl Neubauer-Ziert, 91, of Merrill, died Saturday, October 23, 2004, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.

Beryl was born April 23, 1913, in Arma, Kansas, daughter of the late William and Maude Farrington Wiley. She married George E. Neubauer in September of 1935 and he preceded her in death in January of 1982. She then married Rudolph Ziert in 1992 and he preceded her in death in 2003.

Beryl was a homemaker. She had previously been employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Company in Merrill and the former Merrill Woolen Mills. Beryl enjoyed painting, photography, collecting driftwood and making dried floral arrangements. She also enjoyed singing, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Donna (Gene) Block, Merrill; son Phil (Dody) Neubauer, Merrill; grandchildren Debra (Les) Weber, Vicki (Steve) Bach, Randee (Patti) Block, and Paul and Ann Neubauer; great grandchildren Julie, Laurie and Katie Lynch, Dustin and Eric Bach, and Molly and Casey Block. She is further survived by stepsons Michael (Shirley) Ziert, Merrill; Gene (Sharon) Ziert, California; and Wayne (Janine) Ziert, Crystal Falls, Mich.; sister Violet Valentine, Croswell, Mich.; brother Gene (Sally) Wiley, Merrill; and half sister Beatrice Thompson, Tomahawk. She was preceded in death by sisters Joyce and Iris and brothers Dale, Clinton and Warren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, October 26, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Merrill, the Rev. Jeff Martinson officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Tomahawk. The Taylor and Stine Funeral Home assisted the family.
