James R. Van Der Geest, 52, formerly of Merrill, died Friday, December 17, 2004, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.

He is survived by his mother Mary Jane Nelson Van Der Geest, a daughter, two sons, two sisters and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter and a son.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, served the family.
