Lloyd Grueneberg, 78, Town of Berlin, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Lloyd was born April 2, 1926, in the town of Berlin to the late Martin and Viola Wilde Grueneberg. He married Doris Jehn on August 13, 1955, in Schofield.

Lloyd served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He worked on the family farm all his life. While farming he also worked for the town of Berlin as an assessor and grading town roads. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Town of Maine.

Surviving are his wife Doris; town of Berlin; sons Bruce (Debbie), Merrill; and Brian, Wausau; daughters Beth (Leon) Bartelt, Wausau; Bonnie Grueneberg, Abbotsford; and Kris Grueneberg, Wausau; grandchildren Justin, Jason, Joshua and Jessica Grueneberg, Wausau; April (Mike) Sather, Schofield; and Colton and Lillie Bartelt, Wausau; and great-grandchildren Kali and Keagan Sather, Schofield. Also surviving are sister Fern (Leo) Zastrow, Merrill; brother-in-law Harold Jehn, Monticello, Ind.; and sisters-in-law Viola Jehn, Wisconsin Rapids, and Hazel Jehn, Merrill.

Funeral services were Saturday, December 11, at Faith Lutheran Church, Town of Maine. Rev. Kevin Hoogland officiated. Burial was in the town of Berlin Cemetery. The Helke Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family with the arrangements. You may sing the family guest book at www.helke.com.
