Meghan Sheridan and Thomas Barker, both of Merrill, were united in holy wedlock on September 11, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Alden Beversdorf and Rev. Kelly Leary officiated at the afternoon ceremony, with music provided by organist Polly Schneider and vocalists Merle Sheridan and Debbie Merkel. Readers were Jennifer Meyer, Merrill; Darrin Kuehn, Appleton, and Jeffrey Wais, Stevens Point.

The bride is the daughter of Merle "Jim" and Kathleen Sheridan, Merrill. The groom is the son of Philip and Shirley Barker, Dalton.

Maids of honor were Brianne Sheridan, sister of the bride, Eau Claire; and Karla Hetfeld, Oregon, Wis.; while Shane Voigt, Eau Claire was best man.

Bridesmaids include Molly Sheridan, sister of the bride, La Crosse; Jonie Schewe, Atlanta, Ga.; Kristen Akey, St. Paul, Minn.; and Amy Parkes, the bride's cousins, Harrisburg, Pa. Flower girl was Melanie Monnot, Merrill. Personal attendants were Marci Josiger, Merrill; and Dawn Hawley, Oneida.

Serving as groomsmen were Eric Klug, Merrill; Harold Barker, brother of the groom, Friesland; Robert Weix, Plymouth; Matthew Schewe, Atlanta, Ga.; Christopher Barker, brother of the groom; Wonewoc; and Shawn Barker, brother of the groom, Portage. Ring bearer was Buddy Barker, the groom's nephew, Friesland.

Ushers were Michael Osness, Wausau; and Kurt Cummings, Wisconsin Rapids. Greeters were Kristina Barker, Friesland; and Kristan Braker and Katie Barker, both of Wausau.

A reception was held at the Wausau Country Club. The couple honeymooned at the Heidel House Resort, Green Lake.

Meghan is a fifth grade teacher in the Tomahawk School District. Thomas is a corrections officer with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department. The pair live in Merrill.
