Lindsey Sarah Widak, Plainville, Mass.; formerly of Lincoln County, and Jody Dale Emanuel, formerly of Merrill, currently residing in Massachusetts, announce their engagement and impending nuptials.

The bride to be is the daughter of Stanley Widak Jr. and Karen Freitas, Plainville, Mass. The future groom is the son of Brian Emanuel, Genevia, Ill., and Mary Plamann, Merrill.

Lindsey, a graduate of Emerson College, Boston, Mass., is a real estate broker and was formerly an active member of the Lincoln County Humane Society. Jody, is a graduate of Northcentral Technical College, is employed with Silver Line Windows. He was formerly plant manager of Timeline Vinyl Windows in Merrill.

The couple are planning a Jan. 1, 2005, wedding in Providence, R. I.
