Jerome A. "Bud" Harbath, 80, W5631 Tannery Road, Merrill, town of Scott, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.

Bud served with the U.S. Army during World War II, beginning his enlistment in 1942. Bud was employed at the Weinbrenner Shoe Co. until his retirement in 1986. He also was employed at the Merrill Golf Club.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Bettin) Harbath, Merrill; two sons, Randy (Nancy) Harbath, Green Bay, and Michael (Lee) Harbath, Merrill; five grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Hinkley, Port Townsend, Wash., Bernice Knospe and Harriet (Daniel) Woller, all of Merrill; and one brother-in-law, Harry Banaszak, King.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, Merrill. Burial will be in Snow Hill Cemetery, town of Scott, with graveside military rites conducted by V.F.W. Post 1638, Merrill. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and again from 9 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church.
