Melvin Chmielewski

Melvin "Mel" Chmielewski, 79, 4808 Willow Dam Road, Hazelhurst, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Golden Age Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tomahawk.

Mel served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a carpenter in Elk Grove, Ill., for many years.

Survivors include two sisters, Phyllis (Frank) Johannsen, River Grove, Ill., and Elaine Perzan, Downers Grove, Ill.; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today at Krueger and Sons Funeral Home, Tomahawk. A veteran's memorial service will begin at 10:55 a.m. today. Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
