Florine M. Krueger
Florine M. Krueger, 77, Merrill, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospices Services at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
Florine was born Sept. 16, 1928, in Merrill, daughter of the late Arthur and Ida (Gehrt) Hoffman. She married Harold Krueger on Sept. 21, 1946, in Merrill. He preceded her in death June 12, 1997.
Florine had worked at the former Hanson Glove Factory and Stokely Pea Cannery. She was a member of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ. Florine enjoyed crocheting and won many ribbons at the Lincoln County Fair. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and circle searches, baking goodies, and watching the birds at her feeders.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathleen (Jerry) Burgoyne of Kennesaw, Ga., and Janice (Donald) Johnson of Wausau; one son, Todd (Karen) Krueger of Merrill; grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Fredrickson, Becky (William) Adams, Sarah (Anthony) Carl, Melissa Krueger, Joel (Kim) Johnson, Jeremy (Sharon) Johnson, and Daniel Krueger; great-grandchildren, Gunnar, Katrina, Alex, Samantha and Matthew; four sisters, Marie Miske and Betty (Stan) Williams, all of Ottawa, Ill., Mildred (Herman) Daubert of Milwaukee and Judy (LeRoy) Frick of Merrill; and two brothers, Ken (Ethel) Hoffman of Missouri and Roger (Rose) Hoffman of Merrill. Florine was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; one granddaughter, Suzanne Burgoyne; five brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Earl Eckhart will officiate.
